Q: Is Sleep8 covered by insurance?
A: At this time, Sleep8 is not covered by insurance. On the other hand, you can use your HSA/FSA accounts under code 9274 for payment.
Q: Can Sleep8 be used to sterilize the water chamber?
A: Yes indeed. If the water chamber is easily removed and dried, it can be added to the filtered bag for sanitizing.
Q: Is ozone safe?
A: Yes. When ozone, or "activated oxygen" comes in contact with the air it immediately dissipates. When it is concentrated and safely contained within the Sleep8 bag, it operates as a sanitizing agent to wipe out live bacteria and any living particles things. For your protection, the Sleep8 unit will only work when the Sleep8 filtered bag is correctly attached, and the filtered bag must be changed every 3 months.
Q: Why is there a "clean" scent on my mask after sterilizing?
A: The "clean" smell that is in some cases described as very similar to the scent air after a heavy rain or thunderstorm. In-fact the scent in both cases is triggered by ozone. Ozone happens naturally after lightning storms, and is also the sanitizing agent we utilize. If you do not like the smell, just let the tube sit outside the bag for a while. Further, you can run your CPAP for a few minutes before you put it on to additional minimize the scent.
Q: What is covered under the Sleep8 guarantee?
A: The Sleep8 unit guarantee covers manufacturer problems for 18 months; the charger guarantee covers manufacturer problems for 1 year; and the bag guarantee covers manufacturer problems for as much as 3 months.

A: If the bag becomes soiled, you may wipe it clean with a dry cloth. The bag includes a filter that must be kept dry. The Sleep8's activated oxygen system completely sanitizes whatever is in the bag, in addition to the interior of the bag itself.
Q: For how long can I use the filtered bag?
A: Sleep8 suggests changing your bag when you change your CPAP materials, or every 90 days.
